ScienceDirect Added to the Electronic Library

The LRC has recently added ScienceDirect to the Electronic Library. This database includes 920 Elsevier journals covering health & life sciences which are available for use by our staff and students. To access ScienceDirect use the link under the journals and magazines on the EL.

How to use ScienceDirect:
· To view a list of journals within ScienceDirect, click on the journal tab at the top of the page, then choose subscribed from the drop down box and it will show a list of journals we have access to full text.
· To access articles, click on the search tab at top of page, then click the drop down box to choose subscribed journals. You may search by keyword, title, or subject.
According the our license agreement we may “incorporate links to excerpts in electronic course packs, reserves and course management systems for use in connection with courses offered by the subscriber for academic credit.” We must, however, seek permission from the licensor when using links for non-credit courses. If you would like to use it in any of these ways please check with us so we can seek permission when needed.
We hope this will add several good resources for students to use when they are doing research. If you have questions you may call Beth Mandrell @ x1276.
