INA, Ill. (December 3, 2025) — The Rend Lake College Spring Musical auditions for Cabaret will take place on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 6 PM in the RLC Theater. All RLC students and community actors ages 16 and up are encouraged to audition.
This daring and exuberantly entertaining musical, directed by Sara Alstat-Sanders, explores the dark and heady life of Bohemian Berlin as Germany slowly yields to the emerging Third Reich.

RLC is looking for a talented cast of actors to bring these beloved characters to life on the stage. Those auditioning should be prepared to learn a short dance audition, read from the script, and perform a song selection. Rehearsals will begin the week following auditions, and will take place Mondays - Thursdays from 6 - 9 PM. RLC students are required to sign up for THEA 1102 (Theatre Practicum) and earn three college credits. The tuition for this particular class is waived, however student fees will still be required.
The musical will take place April 9 - 12, 2026.
