INA, Ill. (May 30, 2019)
More than 60 students completed the Basic Nursing Assistant program at Rend Lake College during the fall and spring semesters. The graduates received their pins during Tuesday's first-ever CNA pinning ceremony.

Allied Health Professor Amber Fann welcomed the graduates and guests. "I am so very pleased to see these students along with their friends and family at this special occasion. These students have earned this. Tonight, we are honoring students from all walks of life. There are our dual-credit high school students sitting here who completed this curriculum while still in high school. We have accelerated opportunity students who are competing this program while working on their GED. There are non-traditional students here tonight who have chosen to attend college, either for the first time or returning in order to start a new career. We also have our distance learning students who participate in the program at a different location than their instructor for lecture. All of these different types of students have met the challenge that was put before them, and we are here to celebrate that accomplishment today."
