WHITTINGTON, Ill. (Oct. 4, 2013) - Hundreds of successful students and devoted donors are invited to spend an evening with cheer and thanks during the 24th Annual Rend Lake College Foundation Scholarship Banquet, set for 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14 at the Rend Lake Resort.

RLCF CEO Shawna Manion said that the goal of the evening is for student recipients and donors to sit together and share with each other their stories.

“There will be engaging speakers giving their testimonies, including student speakers explaining how the scholarships have helped them achieve their educational goals and donors speaking about what inspired them to give,” said Manion. “This gives each person in the audience the opportunity to understand the impact a scholarship can make, and how important our donor’s generosity is to RLC students.”

THE GIFT OF GIVING
One of the several speakers at last year's Rend Lake College Foundation Scholarship Banquet was Katelyn Lewis of Mt. Vernon, RIGHT, who is a donor and recipient of the Craig V. Rudolski Scholarship. Lewis spoke about her late brother, for which the scholarship is named, during her presentation. Also pictured is RLC President Terry Wilkerson. Click on the image for a larger view.
