Feeling isolated? RLC offers mental health resources

Written by Brett Herrmann | Mar 25, 2020 5:00:00 AM

As students and faculty adjust to a new stay-at-home type of learning environment, we at Rend Lake College understand these changes can be difficult. The lack of face-to-face interaction can lead to feelings of isolation or anxiety as we brave through the necessary health precautions to limit the spread of COVID-19.

There are ways to feel better, but you have to tell someone what you’re going through.

RLC has many resources available for people who are looking to seek mental health resources during this trying time. The college has partnered ULifeline, a college mental health support system that includes contact information for local institutions and national help hotlines. These contacts are not just limited to college students. Anyone from the general public is encouraged to utilize these resources.

Reaching out for support is the first step towards feeling better. This shelter-at-home situation may have left you feeling lonely, but we are all in this together. So if you need help, please reach out to the resources provided.
