Leadership Workshop focuses on professional development (standalone photos)

INA, Ill. (May 19, 2016) - Rend Lake College faculty, staff, administrators, and community members spent the day learning how to improve on their leadership skills today during the Creative Leadership Workshop, presented by Sharon Tick.

The professional development workshop was designed for team leaders, those who have moved into leadership roles, and anyone who was interested in expanding their personal career choices by stepping into a leadership role.

Many RLC faculty and staff members attended the Creative Leadership Workshop including, Felicia Follmer, CENTER, Administrative Assistant to the President, and Vickie Schulte, RIGHT, Director of Institutional Research. Click on the image for a larger view.

Tick - with 20 years of professional experience in sales, management, insurance, team building, and administration - lead the participants on a lightning-paced, high-energy training to sharpen their techniques when it comes to encouraging employees to work at a higher level of performance and creating an environment of innovation and passion.

Participants broke into groups several times during the workshop to discuss ideas to address with the room. Specifically, Tick focused on strengthening morale, keeping employees satisfied, inspiring employees to reach and exceed their potential, and eliminating negativity and poor attitudes in a team.
