RLC to seek new Food Service Director for campus dining

INA, Ill. (Jan. 12, 2021)
The Rend Lake College Board of Trustees made moves Tuesday night to spice up dining options at the Ina campus.
In its virtual meeting, board members agreed to hire a new full-time food service director who will be responsible for all campus food and beverage outlets and assist with instruction in the Culinary Arts program. Other functions of the Director of Food Service will include supervising a food service staff.
Multiple surveys in the past presented food options as a big interest among the student body. It is expected that the new position will meet student needs and will offer the opportunity for a variety of food options on campus. Those interested in the position can find the application and details online at www.rlc.edu/jobs in the coming days.

In other business, the board:
• Accepted the resignation of Nancy Buttry from the RLC Nursing Program, effective Jan. 30.
• Accepted the resignation of academic advisor Kaila Tyner, effective Jan. 15; • Approved the first reading of a change in the computation of hourly rate of pay for part-time employees to meet the state's Jan. 1 minimum wage increase;
• And approved the second reading revising its policy and procedure regarding sexual offender and sexual predator registration.
