Moddelmog Returns to Coach Warrior Baseball at Rend Lake College

INA, Ill. (July 28, 2022) — Rend Lake College has picked up veteran baseball coach Chris Moddelmog to lead their 2022 season.

Moddelmog has been coaching for over 28 years and has a sizeable list of accomplishments. Some of his career highlights include: 

• School Record at Fossil Ridge HS with the most wins in a season (18), first state tournament win, made Sweet 16 for the first time in the school's history

• Assisted with leading Belmont University as an Asst. Coach the first years in Division I

• Head Coach Fort Scott CC/Assistant AD and AD in waiting

• Named 2006 Jayhawk East Coach of the Year

• Achieved Most Wins (37) in Ouachita Baptist University school history by a first-year head coach

Moddelmog was the head baseball coach of Warrior baseball from 2001 to 2003 and finished 2nd and 3rd in the region, making a trip to the Region 24 final four in 2002. He won 54 games in two years at RLC and received votes in the NJAA top 20 in 2002. Moddelmog produced 3 draft picks, 16 All-Conference, 7 All-Region, and 1 All-American athlete during his time.

Rend Lake College is proud to have Moddelmog leading the Warriors this season. They look forward to seeing the athletic and academic accomplishments they know he can bring to the team.
