Meeting Highlights
Under New Business, the Board:
- Approved the Development of New Courses, Approval of New Curriculum, and to Authorize their Submission to the Illinois Community College Board (ICCB) for action effective on the dates listed.
Approval - Changes to Existing Curriculum

- AUTO 0012 Automotive Technology
Effective 8/1/2026
- RATIONALE: These changes improve the college's educational offerings and support efforts to enhance the quality of instruction.
- Approved job description, Specialist—President's Office (Part-Time), effective May 12, 2026.
RATIONALE: This job description is needed to better meet the needs of the institution.
- Ratified the Award for Sealing and Striping Ina Campus Parking Lots, effective May 12, 2026.RATIONALE: One bid was received in response to the advertisement for bids. Based on the bid specifications, Sesser Pave and Seal is the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. The work will be performed and the expense will be split between fiscal years 2026 and 2027.
- Approved the Engagement Letter/Statement of Work for FY 2026 Audit, effective May 12, 2026.
RATIONALE: In March 2025, the Board of Trustees agreed to a three-year engagement for audit services with Sikich CPA LLC. The college’s portion of the cost of these services for FY 26 will be $70,200.
Under Personnel, the Board:
- Accepted with regret the acceptance of the retirement resignation of Denise Griffith, Associate Professor of Nursing, effective July 1, 2026.
- Accepted with regret the acceptance of the retirement resignation of Kim Rogers, Director of Human Resources, effective July 1, 2026.
- Appointed Beth Stevens as Student Success Specialist, effective May 16, 2026.
- Appointed Marlene Smith as Executive Assistant - Curriculum and Instruction, effective June 22, 2026.
- Granted permission to transfer Glenna Maxwell from Payroll and Financial Accountant to Director of Human Resources, effective May 16, 2026.
Under Financial Information, the Board:
- Approved ratification of the Payment of College Expenses including Travel Expense Reimbursements.
