## Board of Trustees Meeting - September 9, 2025

***Meeting Highlights***

### **Under New Business, the Board:**

- **Approved Revisions to Rend Lake College *Policy & Procedure 4.1115 – Fees,* effective Spring Term 2026.**  
  *RATIONALE: Rend Lake College Policy & Procedure 4.1115 – Fees needs to be updated to better reflect the needs of the college.*
- **Approved Revisions to Rend Lake College *Policy and Procedure 3.1205 – Performance Evaluation and Tenure of*  
  *Faculty Members*, effective September 9, 2025.**  
  *RATIONALE: The tenured/tenure track faculty seniority list is updated no later than February and October of each year as needed and requires Board approval for revisions.*
- **Approved Revisions to *Policy & Procedure 3.1715 – Tuition Waivers* (First Reading), effective October 14, 2025.**  
  *RATIONALE: Revisions to this policy are needed to better define what a dependent is, and to meet the needs of the institution.*
- **Granted Permission to Bid and Award Student Center Efficiency Project, effective September 9, 2025.**  
  *RATIONALE: This project enhances energy efficiency, reduces maintenance costs, and improves comfort and safety for students. Utilizing IGEN funding maximizes available grant resources and supports sustainability goals. We have been awarded $199,951 from IGEN and will cover the remainder of project costs with institutional funds.*

### **Under Personnel, the Board:**

- Appointed James Bailey as Maintenance Technician, pending a successful background check, effective September 22, 2025.

### **Under Financial Information, the Board:**

- Approved ratification of the Payment of College Expenses including Travel Expense Reimbursements.
