WHITTINGTON, IL (Sept. 17, 2021) - More than 175 golfers teed off last week at Rend Lake Golf Course for the 41st Annual Rend Lake College Foundation Golf Outing.

This long-standing event raises tens of thousands of dollars every year to support the RLC Foundation’s strategic priorities, student scholarships and the RLC Warrior and Lady Warrior Golf teams.

“Our outing continues to grow each year and Rend Lake College is incredibly fortunate to have such strong support from alumni, community friends and businesses throughout the district. This year we had thirteen corporate sponsors, in addition to well over one hundred sponsors at other levels. The weather was perfect and everyone seemed to have a lot of fun,” said Kay Zibby-Damron of the RLC Foundation. “We’re already looking forward to next year’s event.”

Winning the first-place award in the Championship flight was One Stop Flooring America with a score of 50. The team included Larry Lyday, Jeff Myer, Tom Portner, Scott Moore, Jay Story, and Jeff Hosick. Dakota Street’s Country Financial team came in second with a score of 51.
