INA, Ill. (October 20, 2022) — The Rend Lake College Foundation was excited to host the Franklin County Hospital Auxiliary at the Rend Lake College campus on Monday. The group of 16 auxiliary members toured the nursing department to learn more about RLC's nursing program. They met with four students during the visit, two of which were Franklin County Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship recipients.
"It was amazing to hear the memories and inspirations shared between the students and Auxiliary members," stated Lexi Johnson, RLCF Development Coordinator.
"Having community members who are invested in our students and programs on campus to see it first hand is invaluable," stated RLCF's Assistant Director of Development, Amy Newell. "The experiences shared with the students and the ladies of FHA were educational and gave a lot of insight into the needs of our students and their success in the nursing program. Dr. Susan Wiley and her nursing instructors are instrumental in recruiting, retaining, and educating our future healthcare providers for our area, which is an ever-growing need. Rend Lake College Foundation would love to have more opportunities to bring community members on campus to learn more about our programs and how they can impact our students."
