INA, Ill. (July 16, 2019) - In an effort to provide local employers with a highly-trained workforce, Rend Lake College has launched a new Facility Management Program.
Facility Management is an exciting profession that includes coordinating the operations and maintenance of buildings, maintaining an organization’s property resources, providing a safe and secure work environment for employees, working with contractors and service providers and financial and business planning related to the management of facilities.
This program will offer a certificate or Associate in Applied Science degree to provide students the flexibility to choose the option that best serves their needs. Course work includes both technical and general education subjects which can help a graduate beginning their career or an individual looking to get the leg up in their current career.
A variety of career opportunities exist in facility management for competent, well-trained individuals to work in. Positions range from manufacturing plants, hospitals, high-rise buildings, educational institutions, recreation centers, as well as large-size hotels and motels.
