INA, Ill. (June 30, 2026) — The Rend Lake College Foundation recently welcomed Robert Rubenacker to its Board of Directors. An agricultural leader and local business owner, Rubenacker brings a wealth of farming expertise and a deep-rooted commitment to southern Illinois to the RLCF board.

Rubenacker, who serves as the Owner and Farm Manager of Rubenacker Farms based in Dahlgren, was officially seated during the June 4, 2026, Foundation Board of Directors meeting.

Rubenacker attended RLC from 2010 to 2012, studying Agricultural Production. His firsthand experience with the college's programs drives his strong interest in supporting and advancing RLC’s Agriculture Department.

“As a third-generation board member, I have had the privilege of seeing firsthand the impact that Rend Lake College has on students, families and communities throughout our region," said Rubenacker. "Being an alumnus of RLC myself, I have many experiences that give me a deep appreciation for the college’s mission of helping students achieve their goals. Being able to serve on the Foundation Board is a special opportunity to give back to the institution that means so much to me and my family.”

Outside of running Rubenacker Farms, Rubenacker is deeply rooted in his local community. He resides in Dahlgren with his wife, Juliana, and their four children: Reed, Evana, Everlee, and Eliza.

“The Rend Lake College Foundation is thrilled to have Robert Rubenacker join our Board of Directors,” said Amy Newell, RLCF Director. “His background as a dedicated RLC alumnus and his leadership within the local agricultural industry make him an invaluable asset. Robert represents the third generation of his family to serve the RLCF, following in the footsteps of his father, Randy Rubenacker — who also served as Chairman of the RLC Board of Trustees — and his grandfather, Richard Rubenacker. We are excited to work with him as we carry on this incredible legacy and continue to advance our mission of supporting student success and campus growth.”
