Nail Technology program approved, register now for April 23 classes

MT. VERNON, Ill. (March 7, 2014) – A new Nail Technology program is coming to Studio RLC this spring with classes beginning April 23. Students can register now for the 16-week program that will introduce them to the world of nail care in four courses.

Classes will be held from 8:30 a.m. –  4:15 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, and every other Saturday from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. through Aug. 8. The four courses in the program are Nail Technology Theory I and II, and Nail Technology Clinical I and II. They will cover skills in professional image, customer service, manicures, pedicures, nail tips and wraps, gel nails, acrylics, nail art, and business skills.

“Studio RLC is excited to be able to offer a unique program like Nail Technology,” said Daphne Mitchell, Director of Studio RLC. “The courses will be great for anyone that would like to start a new career. They will be prepared to jump into the workplace in just 16 weeks.”

Classes are held at Studio RLC at the Rend Lake College MarketPlace in Mt. Vernon, which also houses the college’s Cosmetology program. The Cosmetology program includes the Nail Technology classes. The Nail Technology program will not be offered over the summer, but will begin again in August.
