Rend Lake College seeks a full-time ACADEMIC ADVISOR. This individual will advise students regarding program requirements, class scheduling, career exploration, educational planning, academic concerns and/or personal issues (when needed), provide transfer assistance, and instruct multiple sections in the First Year Experience program.// Full-time, 50-week, tenure-track position.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Educational Psychology, Education or related field from an accredited institution required, Master's Degree preferred.
  • Community college advisement, teaching or administrative experience preferred. 
  • Knowledge of transfer degree requirements preferred.
  • Familiarity with First-Year Experience programs preferred.
  • All candidates will be required to successfully pass a background screening process.
SALARY & BENEFITS
  • Salary $30,000-$35,000 annually.
  • Full benefits.
  • Free tuition for employee, spouse and dependents.
