Rend Lake College seeks a full-time SPECIALIST - WEB AND SOCIAL MEDIA. This individual will: develop and maintain RLC websites, plan and execute updates to content and graphics by coordinating daily with a copywriter and graphic designer, optimize design and functionality of sites as new features, extensions and services become available to the market, plan site design and categorize content to efficiently and effectively achieve goals of the Marketing & Public Information team, work with appropriate staff on cyclical website redesign efforts as directed, analyze web traffic and produce reports for planning purposes, improve web user interface design through usability testing, and obtain user feedback to improve navigation and content, assist in the development of the social media marketing plan, take responsibility for all social media platforms used by the college‚Äôs institutional and athletic brands, develop and maintain a social media content calendar to implement strategies, promotions, posts and customer service to meet the objectives of the social media marketing plan, assist college programs, divisions and departments with respective social media presences, create and edit graphics, videos and photos as assigned, work closely with the Director of Marketing & Public Information in generating publicity for marketing and branding efforts, assist with event coverage as assigned, work with the Director of Marketing & Public Information in developing recommendations for the annual budget process, and monitor emerging trends in relevant fields and recommend initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate Degree from an accredited institution required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience producing content, including videos, for social media & web required.
  • Excellent written communication ability and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with multiple social media platforms required 
  • Experience in web design required
  • Photography experience a plus
  • All candidates will be required to successfully pass a background screening process.
SALARY & BENEFITS
  • Salary $28,000-$32,000 annually.
