The College Try

Rend Lake College is excited to announce a fun, new contest called The College Try.

For our first year holding this contest, it will be at Mt. Vernon Township High School!

Class of 2025 Seniors from MVTHS can enter using the form on this page. We'll draw a winner at random on October 4, 2024. At halftime of the Homecoming Football Game vs Centralia, the winner will attempt to make an extra point kick. If it goes through the uprights, they'll win a semester at RLC, tuition-and-fees-free! This prize is worth up to 15 credit hours - a value of $2,325!

10/18/2024 — Kick an extra point try at Halftime of Homecoming Game

OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES: If the winner makes the extra point kick, they will receive up to one semester — maximum of 15 credit hours per semester — of tuition costs*. Contest runs through Friday, October 4, 2025. To enter, complete the form at https://www.rlc.edu/kick. The applicant must provide all of the necessary information on the form for eligibility. The winner will be contacted with the phone number/email provided on the form submission. The contest is open to senior students at the designated high school only. The prize is non-transferable and is redeemable from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025. Rend Lake College employees and their families are ineligible to win. Contestants automatically consent to having their voice and/or likeness used for promotional purposes. Contestants entering automatically opt in to receive promotional communications from Rend Lake College.

*Prize may be increased, if authorized by RLC President.
