Pharmacy Technician Short-Term Certificate
The Pharmacy Technician certificate program seeks to provide qualified students with the technical skills and knowledge needed to practice in a variety of pharmacy settings. This program will give the student the knowledge base needed to pass the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Examination offered by the Pharmacy technician Certification Board. Pharmacy technicians work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. All curriculum courses must be completed with a grade of "C" or better.

3. Demonstrate an understanding of drug classifications and side effects of medications.
4. Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of the Pharmacy Technician in the pharmacy industry.

6. Demonstrate understanding of medical insurances, prescription interpretation, pharmacy terms, and abbreviations.
7. Demonstrate understanding of basic concepts of communications, personal and patient interaction, stress management, professional behavior, and legal implications of the work environment.

Transfer Information
Students who graduate with an Associate Degree can transfer their credits to a university and pursue a Bachelor's degree and beyond.
Articulation agreements - also known as Transfer Guides - document the pathway between RLC and the university. Historically, RLC has built articulation agreements with midwestern universities. However, students have worked with both institutions to build a pathway.
