You're going to college. Now you have to figure out how you are going to pay for it. We can help. From federal grants to scholarships and part-time work on campus, there are many ways you can stay on top of the cost of getting higher education.

Scholarships

The Rend Lake College Foundation awards about $300,000 to RLC students each academic year. These scholarships are made possible by generous local businesses and individuals who care about the future of our students and community. The average scholarship, for the most part, ranges from approximately $500 to $1,500 annually.

Grants & Loans

Students who show financial need can be awarded state and federal grants that fund their education and don’t have to be paid back. Student loans do have to be paid back and provide you a way of funding your education now while you develop a good plan for repayment later. Take advantage of grants or students loans, or combine them to pay for your education.

Student Employment

We have about 80 part-time positions filled by students. From groundskeepers and lab assistants to student records and our business office, student employees enjoy the convenience of a campus job while gaining unique perspectives on how RLC delivers higher learning. You must be enrolled at least half-time and priority is given to full-time students. Apply now.
