Student employment is available to students enrolled at least half-time, with priority given to full-time students.

The Financial Aid Office administers both the Federal Work-Study and the Institutional Work-Study program.  

Process for student employment:

1. Complete the FAFSA 

2. Complete the Rend Lake College Student Employment Application 

3. Provide Human Resources with Driver’s License, Social Security Card or Birth Certificate, and Bank Direct Deposit information

4. Enroll in BUSI 1202 Employability Skills during the semester you are hired. The class is free and you'll earn one credit hour.

Job Description

  • Rend Lake College is accepting applications for on campus employment as a Student Worker.  Student Worker applications will be open to all departments seeking student workers.  While duties will vary from department to department, duties could include copying, filing, compiling packets, answering telephones, mowing, yard work, trash duty, and running errands.  Hours will be assigned around class schedules and will not exceed 20 hours per week during the academic year and not more than 24 hours during the summer semester.  

Qualifications

  • To meet student worker eligibility requirements, a student must be enrolled in classes at Rend Lake College and must complete an annual FAFSA.
