Agronomy Facility Coordinator

Location: TBD

Reports to: Agronomy Operations Supervisor

FLSA Status:

Non-Exempt

 

This position is responsible for providing operational support to the location’s Agronomy department.

Operations

  • Blending, treating, mixing, delivering, loading, and unloading of fertilizer, chemicals, seed, and merchandise

  • Verification of correct product type and product amount when loading/unloading

  • Fill anhydrous tanks and deliver

  • Assist with seed, chemical and fertilizer activities, including inventory management and recordkeeping

  • Ensure all paperwork for product deliveries and services are promptly turned in

  • Ensure customers are informed of safe product handling

Inventory Management

  • Follow operations processes to manage inventory and limit shrink

  • Conduct regular counts to ensure inventory accuracy

  • Work with Logistics Coordinator, Agronomy Operations Manager, and Agronomy Operations Supervisor to maintain in-season inventory levels to meet customer needs

  • Responsible for maintaining proper and secure storage of inventory Order Management

  • Prepare orders and products for the facility’s operations team

  • Ensure orders are organized and accurate

  • Work with Logistics Coordinator and Agronomy Operations Supervisor to maximize efficiency of operations

  • Utilize Agvance, Kahler Automation, and other technology to perform daily functions

Equipment/Facility Maintenance

  • Ensure facility and equipment are maintained to high safety standards

  • Operate equipment and vehicles in a safe manner

  • Ensure all location facilities are clean and organized

  • Communicate recommendations on replacements, additions, or deletions of equipment when needed

Customer Service

  • Provide prompt and courteous customer service

  • Work with customers to resolve problems and report complaints to supervisor

  • Attend meetings, trainings, professional development, and continuing education opportunities

Safety

  • Hold self and others accountable to safety policies and safe behaviors

  • Maintain a safe, sanitary workplace in compliance with company policies and regulatory agencies (OSHA, EPA, DNR, DOT, etc.)
