About This Position

 

Rend Lake College seeks a full-time Childcare Assistance Program Coordinator for the Child Care Resource and Referral program at the Rend Lake College MarketPlace in Mt. Vernon. The job duties will include: Supervise the daily operations for IDHS (Illinois Department of Human Services) subsidy services, keeping director informed of on-going subsidy activities, Perform regular child care case management, Review child care certificates for completeness and accuracy, and process payments, Maintain communication with clients, providers, local DHS offices, other CCR&R’s and other members of the community, Maintain communication with IDHS to insure contract compliance and implement program requirements, Take incoming IDHS calls and respond to requests, inquiries, and complaints from clients and providers, Prepare reports as required by the IDHS contract and others as needed, Evaluate and recommend the selection, retention and termination of Subsidized Child Care Specialist, Analyze monthly reports provided by IDHS, Complete stop-pay and reissue requests for child care payment, Process referrals for child care overpayments, Investigate reports of fraud and refer to IDHS, Serve as liaison for technical issues, As well as:

  • Monitor Child Care Management System Dashboard for case maintenance and provider issues.
  • Archive inactive files
  • Process case transfers
  • Provide ongoing training to staff
  • Complete and submit access request documents for new staff; provider training.
  • Complete requirements for audits.
  • Complete annual SPCQ documents and data sharing agreements.
  • Respond to improper payments inquiries.

//Full-time, nontenure-track grant-funded position

Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s in Business/Management or related field required
  2. Good computer and communication skills required.
  3. Must possess strong organizational, prioritization and decision-making skills.
  4. Must be familiar with Microsoft applications and web-based programming.
  5. All candidates will be required to successfully pass a background screening process.
Salary & Benefits
  1. $55,000-$65,000 annually, or commensurate with experience
  2. Full benefits.
  3. Free tuition for employee, spouse and dependents.
