About This Position

Rend Lake College seeks a full-time Events Coordinator. The job duties will include:

  • Maintaining the college’s master calendar for all special events scheduled at all Rend Lake College campuses.
  • Maintaining the events scheduling system as well as various facility request forms, client files, terms and agreements, and licenses as necessary.
  • Answer phone calls and e-mails of internal and external clients in a timely and professional manner to schedule their events and resolve any scheduling conflicts that may arise.
  • Serve as event management liaison to external clients; provide customer service along with handling contracts, insurance documents, invoicing, verify details prior to event, and following-up with clients post event.
  • Coordinate and serve as main contact for both internal and external clients hosting events on RLC campuses to ensure the facility requests, A/V requests, set-up/take-down requests, etc. are achievable and clearly directed.
  • Keep accurate scheduling and reporting records of facility usage and provide reports when requested.
  • Assist with communicating press releases, promotional materials, updates to the web pages and other public information concerning facilities to the Marketing Department.
  • Provide campus facility tours as necessary.
  • Provide support to RLC & RLCF Events as necessary

//50-week, non-tenure track position

Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Some nights and weekends required
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Previous event management experience helpful but not required
Salary & Benefits
  • $37,000 - $40,000 or commensurate with experience.
