About This Position
Rend Lake College seeks a full-time professional Lead Toddler Room Teacher for the RLC Foundation Children's Center located at the main Ina campus. This individual will develop weekly curriculum and developmentally appropriate activities for young children; maintain regulations within the classroom according to DCFS, ISBE, IDPH, and the State Fire Marshall; adhere to policies and procedures of the children's center; supervise and evaluate part-time teacher aides, student workers, and select practicum students; coordinate daily activities and develop curriculum in coordination with the ECE program; maintain records as needed; maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from an accredited institution preferred
- College coursework in Early Childhood Education from an accredited institution required
- Experience providing child care to infant & toddler age children strongly preferred
- Illinois GATEWAY Infant/Toddler & ECE credentials or ability to obtain
- CPR Certification (Infant & Child) or ability to obtain
- Good communication skills
- Must have physical and mental capabilities to work with small children
- Ability to work well with others
- All candidates will be required to successfully pass a background screening process
- Position is also subject to DCFS background screening process
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: $35,000 annually
