About This Position
Rend Lake College is seeking a dependable part-time Tutoring Center Assistant to support the daily operations of the Student Success Center. This position helps maintain a welcoming and productive study environment by assisting tutors and students, monitoring usage, maintaining attendance records, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is approachable, detail-oriented, and committed to supporting student success while ensuring confidentiality and effective operation of the center.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist in the daily operation of the tutoring center.
- Monitor usage of the center.
- Assist and supervise students to ensure a proper study environment.
- Provide first contact and resolution for students in the center.
- Provide professional and friendly customer service.
- Protect the confidentiality of student information in accordance with institutional policies.
- Maintain student check-in/checkout procedures and accurate attendance documentation.

Qualifications
- Associate's degree required.
- Proficiency in relevant computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organization and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive student information in accordance with FERPA and College policies.
- Ability to provide tutoring services preferred.
Salary & Benefits
- Hourly rate is contigent upon highest degree earned
- Associates $16/hr
- Bachelors $18/hr
- Masters $20/hr
- Accrued personal time
