INA, Ill. (October 31, 2025) — Rend Lake College was happy to host local high school students on the Ina campus for the long-running Career Days event where students explore different career paths available to them.

The event brought over 320 juniors and seniors from Hamilton County, NCOE, Pinckneyville, Webber, Benton, Sesser-Valier, Thompsonville, Waltonville, and Woodlawn to campus on October 20 and 21.
Students had the opportunity to experience programs RLC has to offer. During program tours, students spoke with faculty and visited labs and classrooms.
At the start of each day, RLC President Lori Ragland welcomed the high school students the RLC campus, followed by a presentation from Recruitment & Student Success Specialist Hillary Halsey and Title III Project Director Megan Rounds.

Attendees also learned about financial aid and scholarship options from Financial Aid Specialist Lindsey Batt and RLC Foundation Assistant Director Jessica Jackanicz.
