INA, Ill. (Jan. 6, 2020) -- If your New Year’s resolution included vows to live a healthier lifestyle or to write the next great American novel, then Rend Lake College has a course to get you started on those goals.
A few fitness classes and a fiction writing course are some of the online offerings this upcoming spring semester.

Community and Corporate Education Spring 2021 Schedule
Pound: Rock out and pump it up with this high energy exercise. Pound allows you to channel your inner rock star with a sweat-dripping, beat-dropping cardio jam session that is inspired by the infectious fun of drumming. Pound is a full-body workout that uniquely combines cardio, conditioning and strength training that can be modified for every rock star. The class is offered over Zoom and is $15.

Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1/12 - 1/28 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.
PiYo: This exercise trend fuses the muscle sculpting benefits of Pilates, the flexibility advantages of yoga and the health perks of cardio all in one class. PiYo presents a unique total-body workout for individuals of all fitness levels. You will burn calories without weights, jumps or the use of complicated equipment. Yoga mat is required for the course. Cost for the online class is $5.

Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1/19 - 2/11 1-1:30 p.m.
Rumble: Get ready to Rumble with this authentic yet simple exercise class that mixes cardio and mixed martial arts that is adapted for the group exercise environment. Rumble is a routine that has been created for every body type. No martial arts experience is required. All that is needed is a willingness to sweat, a desire to get an incredible workout and the willingness to have some fun along the way. This class is offered over Zoom. Cost is $15.

Fiction Writing Workshop: Do you have an idea that would make a great short story or novel but you need help putting pen to paper? The Fiction Writing Workshop is an exciting hands-on workshop for the novice. Those enrolled will write their way out of challenging exercises while receiving advice, support and encouragement from a community of fellow writers. Cost for the online workshop is $15.

Cardio Blast: Looking for a unique total body workout? Cardio Blast presents an opportunity to burn calories without the use of weights and complicated equipment. It is available for people of all fitness levels. The online class costs $5.
