INA, Ill. (March 14, 2018) - Representatives from Affordable Gas & Electric (AGE) went above and beyond at a recent energy forum to help Rend Lake College students. Earlier this month, AGE created a new annual scholarship for RLC students through the RLC Foundation at the end of their annual event.
Kay Zibby-Damron, RLC Foundation CEO, said the donation will be a huge benefit for a very deserving RLC student in the future.
"Affordable Gas and Electric has been very supportive of the RLC Foundation through their sponsorship of our Culinary Arts Experience and their generous gift to begin a new annual scholarship," said Zibby-Damron. "It’s wonderful to have community partners, like Jeff Haarmann and the AGE team, who value the positive impact Rend Lake College has on our communities and want to actively invest in our mission. There is a tremendous need for private support to help students who are working hard to better themselves and the Foundation wants to help as many students as we can. I greatly appreciate their interest and investment in Rend Lake College."

After the energy forum and scholarship donation, AGE sponsored the Culinary Arts Experience on campus for their attendees, as well as local business leaders and RLC faculty and staff. During the event, RLC students prepared and served upscale hors d'oeuvres to a mingling audience. More photos from the events are below. Click on the images for larger views.
