All are invited to Nov. 4 RLC Open House
INA, Ill. (Oct. 7, 2024) – Rend Lake College has announced its next Open House event on November 4 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the RLC Event Center. The Open House offers a good opportunity for prospective students, families, and the community to experience all that RLC has to offer.
Programs & Faculty
Open Houses can set the stage for an academic journey. Attendees will have the chance to explore more than 100 degrees and certificates from a diverse range of programs and meet the dedicated faculty and staff who bring them to life. Deans and representatives from each program will be present to answer questions and provide insights into the educational paths available.
Financial Aid
Rend Lake has kept tuition at the same rate for more than a decade. No university in the state can say that. It will cost a student more to attend one semester at any Illinois public university than it does to earn an entire Associate Degree at RLC. That being said, money still matters and RLC's financial aid experts will be on hand for all questions. There will be a special session on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), alongside a dedicated table to assist with any financial aid inquiries. Additionally, the RLC Foundation will be on hand to discuss scholarship opportunities. The RLCF awards hundreds of scholarships, totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars each year. The many donors that make this possible have made it clear that they want to ensure that every student has the resources they need to succeed at RLC.
Registering & Academic Advisement
Academic Advisors will be available throughout the event, offering onsite registration for classes, while the Records team will assist with completing applications.
Winner, Winner, Winner!
RLC will be drawing for - not one, not two, but THREE - tuition and universal fee waivers valued at $450 each. Winners do not need to be present at the time of the drawing, but must have attended the event.
Throughout the evening, attendees can enjoy a variety of giveaways. The atmosphere will be welcoming and engaging. Importantly, no pre-registration is required, allowing folks to join in freely and explore the possibilities without any prior commitment.
