Rend Lake College's new men's gold head coach, Corey Phillips.
Corey is familiar with the college and its students. He has worked there since 2005 as manager of the RLC Golf Outlet (2005-2013), director of the RLC Marketplace (2013-2021), and most recently as the director of auxiliary services (2021-Present).
"I'm looking to help develop my players both as golfers and as young men," Phillips stated. "Their education at RLC will always be the top priority, and we will represent Rend Lake College and the district in a positive and respectful manner. Last but not least, we will be competitive.
Golf is an individual sport in most cases, so being part of a team is very special and a unique opportunity. My goal is for my players to come together as a unit and play not only for themselves but for the RLC district and each other. This will elevate their game and drive each of these young men to work harder for each other. I look forward to building new relationships and doing all in my power to help continue the long-standing tradition of success of the RLC Warriors Men's Golf Team. I am a Rend Lake guy, and it's a true honor for me to be leading this team."
