Dauby, Wittenauer join RLC Foundation Board of Directors

October 28, 2020

INA, Ill. (Oct. 29, 2020)
The Rend Lake College Foundation added two new members to its board of directors after a pair of longtime directors were granted Emeritus status.

Randall Dauby and Dr. James Wittenauer, both fixtures in the Pinckneyville community, will take over open spots after members Dr. Bill Roe
another strong Pinckneyville advocate
and Rich Yunkus were granted Emeritus status at the previous board meeting.

“I look forward to working with Mr. Dauby and Dr. Wittenauer to continue the strong advocacy and philanthropic work that Dr. Bill Roe and others have championed in the Pinckneyville area,” said RLC Foundation Chief Executive Officer Kay Zibby-Damron. “Both men bring experience in board leadership and fund development, along with a passion for education and helping others. I'm confident Mr. Dauby and Dr. Wittenauer will be great assets to the RLC Foundation Board of Directors.”

Dauby, originally from Enfield, brings a strong financial and administrative background to the board. He has been the CEO of Pinckneyville Community Hospital since 2015 but previously served as the CFO and later CEO of Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. He is a Certified Public Accountant, having previously worked for the Kemper CPA Group before working in the health care field. Dauby graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Southern Indiana. He also has community college experience as a student, having attended Southeastern Illinois College and RLC courses as a student in high school.

“Board member Dr. Roe asked me to serve and to continue to contribute to the success of the Foundation and support our Murphy-Wall Campus here in Pinckneyville,” Dauby said. “I would like to be a great board member that can add my extensive healthcare managerial experience and past work to help the Foundation.”

Dauby said he has attended various programs and departmental meetings at RLC in the past and has helped provide community input for both the Ina and Pinckneyville campuses.

Like Dauby, Dr. Wittenauer also brings some community college experience to the table.

Wittenauer attended Belleville Area College, now Southwestern Illinois College, before finishing his undergraduate degree at St. Louis University. He achieved his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Logan University.

“When I went from junior college to the next level it was seamless,” he said. “I took advantage of that and it worked well for me and it worked well for my children.”

Wittenauer has been practicing in the Pinckneyville community for 25 years. He has also served on the Pinckneyville zoning board and the Murphy-Wall State Bank board of directors. And, like Dr. Bill Roe, he hopes to continue to be an advocate for the Pinckneyville community and the RLC Murphy-Wall Pinckneyville Campus.

“It’s such a nice wrinkle to have here for our students locally,” Wittenaur said. “The goal is to have the Pinckneyville campus thrive and be well maintained. We’re blessed to have it and we hope it can be here for a long time.”

While they have some large shoes to fill, both Yunkus and Roe said they believe the two newcomers are up to the task of carrying on the strong efforts of the Foundation.

“It’s gratifying to see two people who will take a strong interest and be advocates for the school,” Roe said. “It makes it very easy to step away. When you leave something and it’s such a strong entity as the Foundation is, it makes it very easy.”
