Illinois Mining Institute awards Davis $250 scholarship
John Davis, CENTER, of Mt. Vernon was awarded an Illinois Mining Institute (IMI) scholarship yesterday in RLC's Coal Mining Training Center for the Fall 2014 semester. Davis is a freshman in RLC's Industrial Electronics and Maintenance Technician program. The 20-year-old said to IMI, "thanks for giving me this awesome opportunity. I'm not sure where I'll end up in my career, but this will help me get there." Also pictured are RLC Mining Technology Instructors Don McBride, LEFT, and Charles Wingo, RIGHT.
