INA, Ill. (March 7, 2025) — The basketball postseason is heating up, and we’re bringing the excitement of March Madness to our latest fundraising initiative! Get ready to join the Sweet 16 Pave the Way, where the love of the game meets the joy of giving back. This is your chance to secure your permanent place at the Banterra Sports Complex at RLC while also participating in a fun and friendly competition inspired by one of America’s greatest sporting events of the year!

Here’s how it works — click the button below to secure one of 16 pavers at $500 each and grab your spot in the Sweet 16 bracket, root for your team, and you could end up a champion both in spirit and in savings. Think you’ve got what it takes? Read on for the details!

Step Into the Game

Secure one of 16 pavers at $500 each by March 23. Each paver purchase helps us fund The Game Plan, our capital campaign to renovate the facilities at Waugh Gymnasium. In return, you’ll leave a lasting legacy with your name, family, business, or a custom message etched into a paver for all to see as they enter Waugh Gym at the new Banterra Sports Complex.

Once all 16 pavers are secured, each donor will be randomly matched with one of the Sweet 16 basketball teams. We’ll release our bracket on this page and our social media on the morning of March 27, just in time for tipoff that evening.

The Timeline

Here’s what you can expect as we march down the final stretch of this exhilarating tournament:

  • NOW UNTIL MARCH 23: Secure your spot by purchasing a paver. But don’t wait—spaces are limited to just 16!

  • MARCH 27: The Sweet 16 bracket is announced, complete with team matchups and custom graphics to showcase which donor is tied to which team.

  • MARCH 28 AND BEYOND: After each day of games, the winners move on, and we’ll announce the results. Follow along on social media and email to see if your team advances!

  • THE FINALS: The championship game will determine it all. If your team wins the tournament, YOU get your $500 back and receive a special championship symbol etched into your paver to commemorate your victory. Bragging rights included!

Why Join the Sweet 16 Pave the Way?

This isn’t just fundraising—it’s fun-raising. By participating, you’re not only contributing to an important cause at RLC but also getting a front-row seat to the excitement of March Madness with daily updates and a chance to win big. Most importantly, your name, business or message will be permanently engraved on a paver, serving as a visible testament to your generosity and love for the Warriors.

A Few Quick Notes

  • When customizing your paver message, feel free to get creative—but stay within the guidelines. Messages can include a name, a family, or a business, but they can’t include phrases like “Let’s Go Salukis!” or similar statements. We reserve the right to kindly ask you to change your request.

  • Keep an eye out after donating! You’ll receive an email asking for your paver customization preferences. Make sure to respond so we can get it just right.

Don’t Miss Your Shot!

This is your chance to combine your love of basketball with a meaningful contribution to something bigger. Don’t wait to snag your spot in the Sweet 16 Pave the Way — pavers are limited, and the clock is ticking. Who knows? You might just make your way to the championship and take home the ultimate prize while leaving your mark for years to come.

Are you ready to play? Click the button below and grab your paver before March 23. We’ll see you at the Sweet 16 and forever at the Banterra Sports Complex! 🏀
