Rend Lake College's security department recently received a squad car, donated by the Mount Vernon Police Department through the Rend Lake College Foundation. Pictured above with the car are, FROM LEFT, RLC Chief of Police Gary McGill, MVPD Police Chief Chris Mendenhall and RLC President Terry Wilkerson. Mendenhall said the cruiser is a "great car" that, while no longer meeting the force's needs, should be perfect for patrols at the college in Ina. This is the second squad car in a little more than two years that the MVPD has donated to RLC.
