Mt. Vernon senior Page wins big in RLC's The College Try

INA, Ill. (October 29, 2024)—Jake Page, a high school senior, has won a semester at RLC, tuition-free from The College Try.

The College Try is a contest in which a senior in high school will attempt to make an extra point kick to win a semester at RLC. This year, the contest took place at Mt. Vernon Township High School (MVTHS)!

Page was the winner of The College Try at RLC when his kick sailed through the uprights on homecoming night in front of Ram Nation and won him a tuition-free semester to RLC.

The Full Ride

Right now, Rend Lake College is waiving tuition, books and fees for one lucky student for one full year.

The contest is open to new students. Go to college for free. Choose from more than 100 degrees and certificates. You can save $3,300 in tuition alone. And that does not account for your savings in fees and books/supply costs.

The contest is open until Thursday, March 27, 2025. A winner will be drawn in April.
