Today was our first Kindergarten Day at Rend Lake College. It was a super-fun event, packed with nearly 150 kindergarten students from Woodlawn, Thompsonville, Wayne City and Zeigler-Royalton. ( "It's Z-R," one little guy told us.)

The day was filled with activities
from dancing, music and a sneak-peek at RLC's fall play "Sinbad" in the theater; to snacks from our Culinary Arts program and pizza in Waugh Gym. The baseball team put the kids through an obstable course and they loved it! There was also storytelling time in the Learning Resource Center and a visit to the Aquatics Center. These Kindergarterners even receieved some free college education! They met with faculty from some of RLC's most popular programs
radiologic technology, nursing, business, agriculture, and heavy equipment technology. The staff at Project CHILD also chipped in with some fun activities for the students.

It was great day and we are already looking forward to Kindergarten Day 2020! We'll see you soon!
