Dauby received the award last night at the RLC Foundation's 46th Annual Dinner.

"This year’s honoree is an exceptional leader—an advocate for education, a steadfast partner to Rend Lake College, and a champion for rural healthcare—Mr. Randall Dauby," said RLC President Lori Ragland. "Randy’s impact extends far beyond healthcare. He promotes Rend Lake College and our partnership with Pinckneyville Community Hospital both locally and statewide. He understands that strong healthcare and higher education go hand-in-hand, and he never misses an opportunity to highlight the value of the college, our programs, and our students. On behalf of Rend Lake College, the Board of Trustees, the Foundation Board of Directors, and our students—Randy, you have our deepest gratitude."

Dauby leads a $36 million healthcare organization consisting of a critical access hospital, rural health clinic, senior life behavioral program and a rehabilitation and fitness center. A graduate of the University of Southern Indiana's accounting program, Dauby has served in rural healthcare leadership throughout his entire career and understands the fragile environment of rural health. He is constantly advocating for the needs of rural healthcare providers near and far.

In a previous article, Dauby Named in 118 Rural Hospital and Health System CEOs to Know, he stated, “Nothing is more rewarding than when the work that you do makes a positive impact on the lives of others. I have worked in rural healthcare for over forty years, and what inspires me most of all is the dedicated, devoted staff who provide our community with the healthcare they deserve. While 'rural' often gets overlooked, it is great to see how we can provide such quality care to those in need.”

PCH Board Member Dr. Charles Roe was excited when he learned Dauby was to be recognized by President Ragland.

“Randall has a deep personal interest in his staff and the patients," said Roe. "He remains committed to being accessible to the staff of Pinckneyville Community Hospital and helps support the staff to ensure the level of care is the best for each patient. He has fostered a culture that has made Pinckneyville Community Hospital a gem for our community."

Under Dauby's leadership, PCH has received various awards and recognitions, including the Icahn Impact Award, 5-star rating from the National Rural Rating System, and the 2023 Performance Leadership Award.

Outside of his involvement with PCH, Dauby has been part of the RLCF Board of Directors since 2020, taken part in various RLCF initiatives, and supports scholarships to RLC students through the Randall and Cretia Dauby Annual Scholarship.

"Randall Dauby has been an incredibly important member of the RLC Foundation Board of Directors since 2020, contributing significantly to our initiatives," said Amy Newell, RLCF Director. "Randall has also been instrumental in helping the RLC Allied Health program with donations to help our students learn. His support extends directly to the RLC community and our students through the establishment of the Randall and Cretia Dauby Annual Scholarship, demonstrating his deep commitment to the future of our students."
