Rad Tech celebrates third annual Pinning Ceremony

HollyRadiologic Technology Program Director Holly Heisner congratulates graduates during the 2019 Rad Tech Pinning Ceremony. Twenty Rad Tech students were honored at the event which was held in the Student Center. Surrounded by friends and family, Heisner offered her students words of encouragement and praise. 

"It is so awesome to see so many of you come out to celebrate this accomplishment with your loved ones," Heisner said. "Every class is a little bit different. So, I have to kind of learn to work with those differences. This class for example is very competitive. It's been a fun group...It's really amazing what you all were able to accomplish. I know it didn't come easy, but you've accomplished something special."

Jessica ChandlerJessica Chandler, Radiologic Technology Club President, was the class speaker for the 2019 Rad Tech Pinning Ceremony. She added to Heisner's speech by talking about the special connection the class developed over their time in the program and how important the lessons learned along the way will be going forward. 

Most ImprovedJayme McDonald, center, was named the Most Improved Radiologic Technology Student during the 2019 Rad Tech Pinning Ceremony. She is pictured with Radiologic Technology Program Director Holly Heisner, left, and Radiologic Technology Clinical Coordinator Racheal Kathalynas, right.

Outstanding StudentCatherine Graves, center, was named the Most Outstanding Radiologic Technology Student during the 2019 Rad Tech Pinning Ceremony.
