Stipend positions approved
The board approved the creation and job descriptions for three stipends Tuesday: Certified Nurse Assistant Coordinator, Assistant Director of the Physical Plant, and Academic Advisement Center Director. With the retirement of CNA Associate Professor Aurelia Hudgens, additional duties of policy implementation, record keeping, reporting and correspondence with the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation will be absorbed into current staffing, necessitating the stipend position.
Due to the anticipated retirement of Randall Shively, Physical Plant Director, the transition of duties and additional training is needed for the functionality of the department. The Assistant Director of the Physical Plant will serve as a facilitator between the department and the administration.
The position of Director of the Academic Counseling Center has been inactive for five years. The position is being brought back as a stipend position with a change in nomenclature.
