INA, Ill. (May 9, 2025) — Over 200 local fourth grade students visited Rend Lake College's Agronomy Innovation Center for the 3rd Farm Safety Day on May 1! The day was in collaboration with West Frankfort FFA and Sesser-Valier FFA.
Students from West Frankfort, Sesser, Thompsonville and Ewing learned how to be safe when using and working with tools, animals, ATVs, heavy equipment, lawnmowers, tractors and more! Also, the RLC nursing program presented on first aid, and Addison Page, RLC Sustainable Agriculture Specialist, discussed farm equipment safety.
