Local students explore health care at RLC's Discovery Camp

INA, Ill. (June 8, 2022) — Rend Lake College hosted a free Discovery Camp today for students in grades 7-12 who are interested in pursuing a career in healthcare. Students spent the day touring different programs on campus to learn more about emergency medical services, radiology, nursing, medical coding, phlebotomy, and medical assisting. RLC's series of free Discovery Camps continues June 23 with Agriculture, Computer Sciences, and Drones for incoming 6-12 graders. There is also a Jr. Future Business Warriors Camp coming up for local youth in grades 6-8 interested in a career in business and entrepreneurship. This camp is from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm July 18 - July 2  and is only $10. Contact Dean of Applied Science and Technology, Dr. Gabriele Farner, for more information.
