RLC Amateur Radio Club practices emergency response in adverse conditions

Amature Radio Club MathisINA, Ill. (June 25, 2019) - The Rend Lake College Amateur Radio Club along with the Little Egypt Amateur Radio Society participated in field day on Saturday at the Rend Lake College model air plane filed. The purpose of the exercise was to practice their emergency response capabilities. The group erected antennas, setup radio communications equipment and ran stations ran off battery power to simulate emergency conditions. Various stations were setup to make local, regional and national contacts with other hams participating in field day. The group persisted throughout the day despite the bad weather.
