MT. VERNON, Ill. (April 6, 2015) - Several Rend Lake College AmeriCorps students came out to support a handful of nonprofit agencies in Mt. Vernon last week with the goal of raising awareness for child abuse prevention. With April being Child Abuse Awareness Month, more than 100 others joined the AmeriCorps workers in walking around the Jefferson County courthouse holding signs and wearing blue.
