INA, Ill. (Nov. 1, 2023)—The Rend Lake College CNA Conference awarded the 2023 Outstanding CNA of the Year award to Tiffany Wilborn.

Wilborn is employed by Mt. Vernon Countryside Manor. The Outstanding CNA of the Year award, presented by Southern Illinois CNA Educator's Association and SIU-C Nurse Aide Testing Center, recognizes excellence in professionalism, competence, compassion, reliability, and trustworthiness. Her contributions to the community made her a stand-out to receive this award.
RLC Nursing Instructor Sarah Hopfinger said, "The CNA Conference was a fun and interactive day focused on caring for the resident with Alzheimer's disease. The participants participated in activities that placed them in the shoes of the resident. This real-life experience was extremely eye opening and helped them better understand the residents under their care."
