Meeting Highlights
Under New Business, the Board:
- Approved Revisions to Rend Lake College Policy & Procedure 4.1115-Fees, effective in the Fall Term 2026.
RATIONALE: Rend Lake College Policy & Procedure 4.1115 – Fees needs to be updated to better reflect the needs of the college. - Approval of Revisions to Rend Lake College Policy & Procedure 3.1205-Performance Evaluation and Tenure of
Faculty Members, effective February 10, 2026.
RATIONALE: The tenured/tenure track faculty seniority list is updated each February and October as needed and requires Board approval for revisions. - Approved Revisions to Job Descriptions, effective February 10, 2026.
RATIONALE: These job description revisions are needed to better meet the needs of the institution. - Approval of Revisions to Rend Lake College Policy & Procedure 3.1010-Selection of Personnel, FIRST READING, effective March 10, 2026.
RATIONALE: This policy is being revised to better serve the needs of the institution. - Granted Approval of Tuition Rates for FY 2027,effective Summer Term 2026,
RATIONALE: At this time, the College feels that it will be able to maintain a strong financial position and meet the forecasted budgetary needs of the College without increasing our tuition rates.
Under Personnel, the Board:
- Accept with regret the resignation of Jaron Hubbard, Project Manager of Information Technology and Institutional Research, effective February 13, 2026.
- Granted permission to revise the job description, advertise for and ratify the appointment of Director - Institutional Research & Analysis, effective February 10, 2026.
- Granted tenure to Jay Copple, Automotive Instructor, effective February 10, 2026.
Under Financial Information, the Board:
- Approved ratification of the Payment of College Expenses including Travel Expense Reimbursements.
