INA, Ill. (May 7, 2024) – Rend Lake College's business program recently hosted a business competition highlighting the entrepreneurial skills and ideas of students from area high schools. The event saw nine local students demonstrate their business skills before a panel of judges.
Nolan Armstrong (Mount Vernon High School) stood out out among his peers and clinched the top prize - a $500 tuition waiver to pursue business studies at RLC in the fall.

Business Associate Professors Mark Jornd and Sarah Bilderbeck administered the competition and said they were very happy with the talent of the young individuals who competed.
"The competition was incredibly inspiring," said Jornd. "The talent and dedication these young minds displayed was truly remarkable. Nolan's win is well-deserved, and we look forward to seeing him flourish in our program."
