"It has been my pleasure serving on the Rend Lake College Foundation board over the past 11 years," Leuty stated. "In addition to all the wonderful scholarship funds provided, the Board and College supporters have been instrumental in so many worthwhile improvement projects; some of which were the Children’s Center addition, Pathway to Success walkway, theater/music room upgrades, and the latest being the Learning Resource Center “HUB” project. It is always exciting to see what new projects the Foundation undertakes, none of which would be possible without the Foundation’s ongoing supporters."
The RLCF Board voted to seat Joshua Esser, CPA, as the Treasurer-Elect until Leuty's final board meeting in October. Esser is a partner at Krehbiel & Associates, LLC, alongside Leuty. The Foundation Board believes that seating Esser at this time will allow a smoother transition period. Esser has served on other nonprofit boards and is excited to be a part of the RLCF Board.

"I am excited to be a part of the RLC Foundation board," Esser said. "I aim to serve the board through financial oversight and accounting support." He added that he is looking forward to leveraging his 16 years of experience in the financial industry by learning the finance and accounting system of the RLCF to help them impact as many students as possible.
"Jim has been a blessing to the Rend Lake College Foundation," said Kelsey Page, Assistant Director of the RLCF. "He works with me directly monthly and is our go-to with any accounting questions. While we are sad to see Jim go, we know that Josh will be a great addition to our board and great to work with in the coming months."
