Get ready to tee off! Now is the time to sign up for the 41st Annual Rend Lake College Foundation Golf Outing.
The annual outing, held at Rend Lake Golf Course in Whittington, will take place Thursday, Sept. 9. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. with lunch starting at 11 a.m. A shotgun start will begin at noon.
After the success of last year’s event, the RLC Foundation expects the event to continue being a safe, low-risk outing with its participants’ safety as the primary concern.
“Rend Lake College was so incredibly blessed from last year’s event! Everyone had such a fun time and we know it will be just as fun (probably more fun!) than last year,†said RLC Foundation Assistant Director Kelsey Page. “We will still have certain safety precautions in place to ensure the safety of our players and volunteers, but we still plan to have a fun day in the sun with all of our friends! What better way to cap off the summer than with some golf, fellowship, and of course fun?â€
The outing is a six-person golf scramble and costs $125 per person. To ensure the safety of all players and volunteers, the Foundation team asks that players pre-pay with a check or credit card. Players can pay online at rlc.edu/golfouting. Checks should be payable to the RLC Foundation. The entry fee includes a player gift, green fees, riding carts, complimentary lunch, refreshments on the course, hole games, prizes to be awarded, and to-go snacks at the end of the event.
If you are a business or corporation looking to get in on the fun, there are six levels of sponsorship available. Those include a $150 Hole Sponsor, $500 Award Sponsor, $750 Refreshment Sponsor, $1,000 19th Hole Sponsor, $1,000 Lunch Sponsor, and $1,500 Corporate Sponsor.
Proceeds directly support RLC Foundation’s strategic priorities & student scholarships as well as the RLC Warrior and Lady Warrior Golf teams. Over the past four decades, the annual outing has helped raise thousands of dollars each year for these causes.
