RLC future nurses take part in the historic vaccination effort

February 26, 2021

Clinic Macie Blythe 2     Clinic Bernadina Garcia 2

Nursing students at Rend Lake College joined forces with local health departments and healthcare facilities with administering COVID-19 vaccinations through area clinics. RLC has partnered with Bi-County and Perry County Health Departments as well as Crossroads Community Hospital for these history-making events during recent weeks. As more of the population attempts to receive the vaccine, plans are to continue to have the assistance of RLC students at future clinics.

Students pictured include from top left: Macie Blythe of Benton, looking at a needle; Berndina Garcia of Collinsville watching over at the clinic table; Bottom left Julie Baumgarte of Christopher gets ready by putting on a glove; and Chelsea Smith of Herrin sitting at a table awaiting further instruction.
